What seats fit an N70 Hilux?

If your N70 Hilux (2005–2015) doesn't have factory in-seat airbags, two seat upgrades fit: Huracan Fabrication Premium Touring Seats to suit the N70 Hilux, fitted using our bolt-in adapter kits, or Ford BA, BF or FG Falcon seats (including all FPV models) or VE Commodore seats fitted with our seat adapter kit to suit N70 Hilux (2005–2015). If your Hilux does have factory in-seat airbags, we don't recommend a seat swap — details below.

Option 1: Premium Touring Seats to suit N70 Hilux

Our Premium Touring Seats to suit the N70 Hilux (without in-seat airbags) 2005–2015 are a complete seat, sold as a pair — $2,500 buys you both a driver and passenger seat. If you need just one seat, contact us.

These seats are built around genuine Holden seat frames with Commodore GTS-style seat foam, meaning the seat itself is already ADR approved. They're crafted from premium leather, with non-seating surfaces in a harder-wearing colour-matched vinyl, and you can fine-tune your seating position with adjustable recline, tilt and headrest settings. Adjustable lumbar support is standard on the driver's side only — if you want it on the passenger side as well, select that option when ordering.

They're designed to work with our bolt-in N70 Hilux adapter kits, making installation simple without the need for major modifications. Seat adapters are sold separately. The seats are also compatible with a 15L Bushman fridge or a Cruiser Console positioned between them.

Option 2: Falcon or VE Commodore seats on an adapter kit

Prefer to run donor seats? Our seat adapter kit to suit N70 Hilux (2005–2015) allows the installation of Ford BA, BF, FG Falcon seats (including all FPV models) or VE Commodore seats. The kit mounts directly onto your existing Toyota seat rails, providing new mounting points for your seat base, and one kit covers both front seats.

A few facts to weigh up before choosing this path:

• Seats are not included — the kit includes all necessary components except the seats.
• If your model features a bench seat on the passenger side, you may need to acquire sliding rails from a bucket seat for compatibility.
• The adapter will raise the seat by approximately 15mm.
• Fitting requires drilling a few small rivets but does not require any cutting, grinding or welding.
• With the Ford seat rails removed, lumbar support and back angle adjustment are controlled manually via dials on the seat. Some premium FPV models feature electric lumbar support, which will require wiring to function.

What about in-seat airbags?

We do not recommend seat conversions for vehicles with factory in-seat airbags, as removing an airbag-equipped seat generally cannot be certified. Our Premium Touring Seats suit N70 Hilux models without in-seat airbags only. If you're not sure what your Hilux has, contact us before ordering.

Do I need to transfer the occupant weight sensor?

Possibly. In N70 Hilux models, you may be required to swap your OEM passenger-side occupant weight sensor from your factory seat into the new touring seat. If you're unsure whether this applies to your vehicle, contact us before ordering.

Is a seat swap legal?

Our touring seats are ADR approved. Installing them — or fitting a seat adapter kit — is a vehicle modification that must be certified by a VASS signatory engineer in Victoria, or the equivalent signatory scheme in your state or territory, who issues the modification certificate ('mod plate'). Requirements vary by state. Until certified, the modification is intended for off-road use.
