What Seats Fit an 80 Series LandCruiser?
An 80 Series LandCruiser can be fitted with Huracan Fabrication's Premium Touring Seats, or with Falcon (BA-FGX) or VE Commodore seats using our bolt-in seat adapter kit to suit the 80 Series. The adapter plates mount directly on top of your existing Toyota sliders, so there is no drilling or welding, and the seat adapters are sold separately from the touring seats.
Here is what actually fits, what to watch out for, and how the install and compliance side works.
Option 1: Falcon or Commodore seats on our 80 Series adapter kit
Our seat adapter kit to suit the 80 Series LandCruiser uses precision laser-cut adapter plates that mount on top of your existing Toyota sliders, giving you new mounting points for the seat. It is designed to fit Falcon (BA-FGX) or Commodore (VE) seats.
A few important fitment notes, straight from the product page:
- VF seats are not compatible.
- It is not compatible with Sahara models with electric seats, or models with manual height-adjustable seats, unless you also purchase regular GXL seat rails.
- Some FPV/HSV models feature electric lumbar support, which you will need to wire yourself for it to function.
- Removing the Ford/Holden rails means you do not have to manage the seat's electric components; lumbar support and back angle are controlled by the manual dials on the side of the seat.
The kit includes all necessary components to convert both front seats (except the seats themselves). The entire process takes about an hour, with no drilling or welding required and no special tools.
Where do I find the donor seats?
The adapter kit does not include seats. For Falcon or Commodore donor seats, your best bet is eBay, Gumtree, Facebook Marketplace, Falcon buy-and-sell pages on Facebook, or your local wreckers.
Option 2: Huracan Premium Touring Seats
If you would rather not chase down donor seats, our Premium Touring Seats for the 80 Series LandCruiser are a complete seat built around genuine Holden seat frames with Commodore GTS-style seat foam, meaning the seat itself is already ADR approved. They still use our bolt-in 80 Series adapter kits to mount, and the seat adapters are sold separately.
Details worth knowing:
- Sold as a pair (driver and passenger). If you need just one seat, please contact us.
- Adjustable lumbar support is standard on the driver's side only; passenger-side lumbar is an option.
- They are compatible with a 15L Bushman fridge or a Cruiser Console positioned between them.

Is an 80 Series seat swap legal?
Fitting different seats is a vehicle modification. Our touring seats are ADR approved, and our custom seat adapters carry their own engineering approval, but the installation itself still needs to be certified. A seat swap (or fitting an adapter kit) is a modification that must be certified by a VASS signatory engineer in Victoria, or the equivalent registered signatory scheme in your state or territory, who issues the modification certificate ('mod plate'). Requirements vary by state, and until it is certified the modification is intended for off-road use.
We always recommend speaking with your local engineer before purchasing to make sure they are happy to sign off the modification for you.
The short version
For an 80 Series LandCruiser you have two clean paths: fit Falcon (BA-FGX) or VE Commodore seats using our 80 Series adapter kit, or go with our complete Premium Touring Seats that bolt in using the same adapters. You can see everything we make to suit the 80 Series in the 80 Series range. Avoid VF seats, watch the Sahara and electric-seat exceptions, and plan to have the modification certified. If you are unsure whether your exact setup is covered, check the product page or contact us.
